The Peranakan Festival will run for its third annual edition in 2019. It aims to highlight influences from the Chinese, Indian, Eurasian, Dutch, Portuguese and Malay cultures that make up the complex ethnicity of Peranakans today
Join us for a journey of discovery into a 500-year-old ethnic group that is steeped in tradition yet embraces new influences in language, culture, art, music and cuisine
This year we also celebrate with the inaugural Peranakan Food Festival featuring heritage dishes, guest chefs, cooking demos and workshops, as well as cultural talks held at the newly-launched exhibition space The Peranakan Gallery.
